This is very good match for Delhi Capitals they won their two consecutive match and beat Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs. And Chennai Super Kings loose their two consecutive matches first they looses against, Rajasthan Royals and now the looses against Delhi Capitals. So, this is not a good start for CSK and the inconsistency in their batting order is the big problem of this team.
Match Updates :
Delhi Capitals earned a 44-strong victory against the Chennai Super Kings at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, marking their second successive win of IPL 2020. In 176, Chennai Super Kings started badly, as both Shane Watson and Murali Vjay lost their openers to the power play. Although Vijay was deleted by Anrich Nortje, Watson came out to Axar Patel. Ruturaj Gaikwad was not pleased with having just finished in five rounds, who entered bat No. 4. Faf du Plessis and Kedar Jadhav have lost two fast wickets and have formed a decent partnership to keep CSK hopes alive in the game. Anrich Nortje dismissed Jadhav to make a major breakthrough on his side.
MS Dhoni arrived at the bat, but it had already been hurt. Nortje and Rabada bowled beautifully to their side to seal the huge. Prior to this, the fifth IPL sketch was Prithvi Shaw (64 out of 43), who posted against the CSK in 175/3 in Delhi Capitals. Shaw was backed up by his partner in opening, Shikhar Dhawan who played with more caution but with more caution than when the field limit was raised to his front. The duo added 36 runs without any loss in the first 6 rounds and capitalised on the beginning of the power play and took an offensive approach against the CSK spinners. Both the players find limitations at will and stared at them taking the game away. But that shouldn’t have been like Piyush Chawla reaping the confidence of his captain by quickly extracting two openers to avoid the flow of running.
Winning Captain | Shreyas Iyer :
I’m so pleased with the results. I would give them the benefit of doubt that it is difficult to catch in these conditions. You judge the ball incorrectly, you just don’t know how to pace yourself. At the team meeting, we agreed that we would determine the batting conditions early and then play accordingly. The way the openings started gave us a lot of faith and the finish was good, too. I ‘m fortunate to have KG and Nortje on the squad. It’s important to stay together as a team, and we need to celebrate each other’s success.
Loosing Captain | Ms Dhoni :
I don’t think it was a good game for us to play. There was no dew, but the wicket slowed down. There’s a little bit of steam in the batting and that hurts. The run rate keeps on mounting after such a slow start and adds strain, so we need to work that out. Maybe the team dynamic is going to get better once Rayudu comes back in the next game. That’s going to give us a place to experiment with an extra bowler. There are a lot of things that we should worry about.
We need to get better with our lengths, our lines and our speed. I don’t think the spinners have come to the party yet. We’re decent bowling deliveries, but we’re giving away border deliveries too much. I’m going to ask the players because there have been quite a few drops in the capture.
Player of the match | Prithvi Shaw:
In thismatch Prithvi Shaw played very well and this is very good news for Delhi Capitals fans. Today the batting performance of Prithvi Shaw was amazing and he is the highest run scorer in this match 64 runs in 43 balls. If he played with this consistency then at the end, he must be in top 5 highest scorer of IPL 2020.
