Match Updates Chennai Super Kings Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad :

Chennai Super Kings lost their third game in a row in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. CSK was asked to chase 165 at Dubai International Stadium against Sunrisers Hyderabad. But they could not achieve the feat, as they managed to score just 157 runs in their 20 overs quota. The outcome was again the responsibility of CSK captain MS Dhoni, who was holding the hope of his team along with Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni made three changes to his playing XI, but was unable to arrest the slide. He recognised the need for solutions. Abul Samad bowled good over in 20th over against MS Dhoni. But there is one concern for Sunrisers Hyderabad is the injury of Bhubaneswar Kumar.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain David Warner :

I backed him (Samad)-I didn’t have a choice. We tried to kill the game at the 19th with Khaleel and five balls in a tub. He should have given it to Abhishek, but Samad, with his height and the way he bowled tonight, had to bowl the last one. This wicket was a little better than the last one. It was quite a challenge, it was nice to see the ball swing up front. It’s my message to the kids, to go out there and score a few runs. These guys were evaluating the conditions and playing well, so very proud of them. They really work hard, they execute their yorkers, they execute their slower ones. These are the rewards we’re getting, and hopefully we’re going to get the momentum going.

Chennai Super Kings Captain MS Dhoni :

I haven’t been able to middle a lot of deliveries. It’s been trying to hit it too hard. When the wicket is a little slower, it’s better to time it. Looking at the field, it was subconsciously coming to us to hit the ball hard. Try to get as much time as you can. It’s sort of dry out here. So, your throat gets dry and you start to cough. You should take some time off when you have legal signs. Long time back once we’ve lost three in a row. We need a lot of things to get right. It’s about professionalism. We don’t need to take our catch bowl no-balls. Those are the levers, and maybe we’re getting too comfortable. At times, we’ve been a little too relaxed. We had two decent overs after the 16th, but overall we should have been a little better. Nobody wants to drop the catch, but at the same time, we need to draw a line and take those catch, particularly when the team hasn’t done that very well. It’s really important to be at your best.

Priyam Garg | Man of the match :

Felt very good today and this (IPL) is a good stage and it was unique to share it with senior players. I was just trying to play my natural game and credit the team management to back me up and give me confidence. I was trying to play my natural shots and back my strengths as I know the range of my shots. I’ve been playing with Abhishek since childhood, and we both know very well about each other’s game, which really helped us today. I tried to maintain positive energy with the bat, and I had the same degree of trust in the field. It’s very happy.
