Match Updates MI VS SRH :

The fast bowlers Trent Boult, James Pattinson and Jasprit Bumrah have each collected two wickets. And help Mumbai people defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad with 34 runs. David Warner scored 60 balls out of 44, but he couldn’t pass 30 other batsmen. Krunal Pandya hit 20 off 4 balls in the first innings. And along with some Kieron Pollard fireworks, took Indians from Mumbai to 208/5 to batting first. Captain Rohit Sharma lost to me early.

Suryakumar Yadav had 27 of the 18 bats, but MI was brought back by the 78-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan. Half a century of the season, De Kock recording his maiden with 65 off 39 balls. And Kishan quickly dismissed him, the second being rejected by a beauty of a deep catch by Manish Pandey. Late Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal fireworks ensured however that the 200-run mark was achieved by MI.

MUMBAI Indians Captain Rohit Sharma :

The wicket looked good, but it was much slower. It was a big effort to get over 200. Always important to play a good cricket and today we play very well. Bowlers bowled well because they have not any pressure of runs.  It was big effort to win 34 runs in this area. Definitely missed, you are disappointed when you get cheap, but when you have the chance you do your best. I’m not going to look too much at my dismissal. It depends on the game, the match ups from the contrast, the spinners and stuff like this. it depends on who should wrestle between Pollard & Pandya Brothers. To have three power hitters in the end is a major headache, but getting in shape is what is most critical.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain David Warner :

The stats say the tale, their two most accomplished bowlers, that they bowed well towards the end, and we couldn’t target the fence. Look, I don’t think we’ve weighed the wicket properly, maybe it’s a little slower throughout the day, and when the ball gets soft-it ‘s hard to strike the wicket harder. They had runs on the board, and we were left chasing 10 RPOs-we didn’t connect partnerships together to take the chase deeper.

It wasn’t easy to start (while batting), lack of partnerships, as I said, losing wickets back-to – back isn’t ideal, but there were a few positive ones coming out of this match. It was the first game to be played, we’re going to play the next game on this field, so the ball will come up a lot higher. Two new guys came in today, apparently wounded by Bhuvi, there are things we can do while we’re in preparation.

  • Trent Boult | Man of the match :

We’ve seen a little cricket playing on this wicket. Small ground, I think we play well, and we knew what we had to expect. The boys made a strong effort to get 200 on board and then we had to bowl. Very glad about winning. Very satisfied. It’s something I’m not known for (slower balls). I try to swing the ball as hard as I can, you have to trust what you are trying to do. I try to use my angles and I am having some fun over the wicket and around the wicket. In reality, I don’t get him out too much (Williamson) in networks.

It was a nice feeling to take him out tonight, but the win and keep going forward in the tournament are more important. It’s a fine line from complicating to trying too hard. It is a good beginning if you fall on your strengths. For me, very hot, very foreign conditions, but you have to be pleasant and simple, put the bad thoughts out of your mind.
