Delhi Capitals Captain Shreyas Iyer :

Our approach was to play with full freedom and fearlessness in this game. We have strong young people at our side, so we just have to go out and perform our skills. So we have to keep up with the momentum, I am very pleased with the way things are going so far. Talk of comprehensive wins when we come to the ground. The boys worked very hard and we kept our temperament very well. It is important that we recover well. It is not easy to go back to the bio bubble and so we try to invest time and it works for us very well. It’s disappointing if a senior player (Mishra), who did incredibly good stuff, gets hurt. But we have good replacement for him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain Virat Kohli :

I think in the first six overs they started well, we took them back in the next 8 stages and we left again in the last process. We need to catch these vital opportunities in the meantime, when the chance comes to us, not because we collapse halfway, we drop sitters and those stuff affect you. The result could have been better with the ball in the end and even with the bat. Not a complete success today in all respects. Prithvi and Shkihar batted quite well with the new ball. We were very aggressive.

We expected Prithvi to take on a position and try to choose a wicket with the spinner. I believe Prithvi has taken on the game. After the first six, we got into the game and Stoinis really fought well at the end, gave him life, he pulled us the game away.

Axar Patel | Man of the match :

On the wicket I knew ball stopped. I realised, and prepared for that, I would bowl in a powerplay. I have very well executed my plans. And am decided to bowl and change my pace after we discussed to the batsmen because the wicket was sluggish. I was initially in a mood to defend in powerplay, but when the third ball turned shifted gears and mode of attack.

On Chris Morris, Virat Kohli explains why he is not playing ?

Chris (Morris) was really close to playing today as well but couldn’t make it. We have four days before the next game, once he comes back into the squad it is a different balance altogether. The good thing is we have won three out of five, we have lost two where we haven’t played good cricket, so I think it is about rectifying those small mistakes.
