Delhi Capitals scored 184 for 8 after being sent to battle Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals bowler bowl good in starting overs and their fielding was also very good. But in middle overs, Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis had some outstanding Rajasthan Royals batsmen disappoint everyone in this match. Steve Smith won the toss and determined that Rajasthan Royals was going to bowl first against Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals Captain Shreyas Iyer :

I’m very pleased with the way we came out in the second inning. We thought it was under par score, but it was stopping at the wicket, and the bowlers were doing their plans very well. We went to the bowl first, too, with the dew factor, but thankfully it was in our favour. I enjoy being a captain because the players make it really easy, especially the bowlers. The manner in which support staff handle team meetings is also commendable. I think the mixture in our team is really good, and we’ve worked really hard on it. The boys shared their pre-tour thoughts and strengths and weaknesses. I ‘m happy with how we’re moving forward and hoping to keep up the momentum. We can’t take it lightly, and we need to come along with our plans and execute them well.

Rajasthan Royals Captain Steve Smith :

We are not played good. The bowlers did a decent job, and I don’t think the wicket was as decent as it was here, a bit of a stopper tonight, and we gave away 10-15 extra runs. We’ve got to stay optimistic, turn it around fast. It doesn’t seem to be going our way at the moment. I’m not beating too good, either. I was feeling good with the bat tonight, but I didn’t get hold of one that I feel like I was supposed to have. Stokes hasn’t had a lot of practise, he ‘s going to get out of quarantine tomorrow, so we’ll see if he’s going to play the day after tomorrow.

Ravichandran Ashwin | Man of the match :

One of the key points about this bowling attack is that most bowlers can bowl at any time. It’s kind of a job where you can get your hand up and be brave. Credit goes to the workers in the backroom. I’m in a really good mental and physical room, and it really shows. Very enjoying myself in both of these rooms. All I need to do is take it out to practise once the preparation is done, and then go out and express myself. I used the carrom ball in the power play once or twice. It’s all about how many you want to use in the powerplay when you’re ahead of the game. I got a great catch and I got that Jos (Buttler) wicket was important. But after the powerplay, the ball was soaking wet and the sweat didn’t help either.
